Please find below our list of terms and conditions for the photo competition.
In these Terms and Conditions, Participants (“you” or “your”) means the participant who submits the photograph or photographs.
The Topic is The Beautiful Bloo Toon- this includes any photos that you feel represents the beauty of Peterhead and its surrounding area - which includes Cruden Bay to Mintlaw, from animal life, flora, people or places.
1.The competition is open to anyone
2. Participants must be amateur photographers, which for the purpose of this completion means they should not earn more than 10% or their total annual income or £5,000 annually, (whichever is greater), from photography.
3. The competition will close no later than 12 noon on October 31st 2012
4. Each participant may enter up to 3 photos for the competition. These photos must not have been published before and must be the original work of the Participant.
5. All entries must be the original photo and not photo altered or enhanced.
6. Participants will be required to provide their name, email address and phone number, together with a short comment or story explaining their entry. Your name will be displayed with each photo submitted. Your email address and telephone number will be used only to contact you in connection with the competition.
7. Relations of the staff of CMYK PhotoGraphics or Sponsors of the competition may NOT enter.
8. Main cash prizes are to be awarded to over 16’s only. A separate, single prize shall be awarded to an under 16’s winner.
9. Any under 16’s entering the competition will be required to provide parental consent for entering the competition
10. Photographs will be reviewed by us, before they are passed to our judging panel or placed online to ensure that they do not contain offensive inappropriate or otherwise unsuitable material.
11. Participants must have obtained permission of any people featured in their submission, or their parent/ guardians if children under the ages of 16 are featured. Proof of this may be required by ourselves.
12. By entering, Participants confirm that they hold copyright to the submitted entries.
13. Participants confirm that their submission does not violate the privacy, intellectual property rights or infringe any other rights of any other party or entity.
15. Entrants will retain copyright for the photographs that they submit to the CMYK-Photographics Competition.
16. By entering the competition all entrants grant CMYK-Photographics (Check Electrical Solutions Ltd & Industrial Graphics) the right to publish and exhibit the photographs on any website or in any advertising. By entering the competition you grant CMYK-Photographics the further rights to publish and exhibit the photographs in print, on their respective websites or in any other media.
17. Entrants whose photographs are one of the finalists also agree to take part in post-competition publicity. While we make every effort to credit photographers, including in printed reproductions of their work, we cannot guarantee that use of the photographs will include photographers' names.
18. No fees will be payable for any of the above uses.
